Reema Lagoo is an Indian actress who is famous for playing the mothere in many blockbuster Bollywood films.

EARLY LIFE
The actress was born in 1958 to a well known Marathi stage actress. She did her schooling from Huzurpaga HHCP High school,Pune and started her career in acting soon after school. Her maiden name was Nayan Bhadbhade.

CAREER

In 1970 she started her film career with Marathi films.Reema has acted in a number of Marathi and Hindi movies, and most of her Hindi films were superhits starting with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) as Juhi Chawla's mother, Salman Khan's mother in Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Rangeela (1995) and the biggest blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994)Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998),Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003).

In Yeh Dillagi (1994), she was seen as a Buisness woman and a dancer in Aakrosh (1980). Her most unforgetable performance was in the Sanjay Dutt starer Vaastav: The Reality (1999), where Reema played Don's(Sanjay Dutt) mother.Lagoo was nominated four times for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress.

Kya Kehna (2000),Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain (2000), Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon(2003), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kidnap (2008) are some of her other famous movies.

Her next release is Sunanda Mitra's Idiot Box(2009)

Reema has acted in TV serials like Khandaan (1985), Shrimaan Shrimati (1989) which was aired on DD National and the most famous one is Tu Tu Main Main (2000) on Star Plus. It had a sequel named Kadvee,Khatti,Meethi, aired in 2006.
